Road catalog data distribution

The road catalog the GTGO app actually uses — sections, roads and stop-by spots — is published as-is, the same artefact that ships with the app.

Licence

This data is made available under the ODbL 1.0 (Open Database License). Any Derivative Database you create from it must itself be made available under ODbL 1.0 or a compatible licence, and the attribution notices must be kept intact.

Download

Each catalog version is distributed as a release containing the three data files plus LICENSE and README. The published version is kept in step with the version the app and server actually use.

Files

sections.jsonl.gz — sections. The unit of GT Score and completion tracking
roads.jsonl.gz — roads. Parents of sections; they carry no score
spots.jsonl.gz — stop-by spots (roadside stations, viewpoints, parkings, service areas)

All files are gzipped JSON Lines (one record per line, UTF-8). Field meanings, record counts and the catalog version are documented in the README bundled with each release.

What is not included

No user-derived data is included: no drive logs, GPS traces, speeds, durations, favourites, achievements or profiles. The pipeline that generates the catalog is not published either.
